There is a divided opinion on whether spending much money for family celebrations is essential or not. While some claim that it is waste of money, I believe that vast amount of money should be spent on such events.
On the one hand, according to some, society should not spend a lot of money on family celebrations more than they can afford. In other words, simple gatherings are sufficient, and there is no need to buy expensive items such as food or clothes. Since family members show respect and having a good time with each other, this might have been an effective way to strengthen bond. Apart from that, spending much money can create financial problems in families. In this case, it would be better to avoid buying costly items.
On the other hand, I side with those who argue that much money should spent on celebrations. As individuals buy a lot of items for each other in families, they can feel better and blissfully happy in such events like weddings and birthdays. For example, in Turkey, when wedding is implemented, relatives often give golden for bride. Additionally, if one of the family members has a birthday party, this is a particular event among them and it would be better to buy gifts in order to create special memories and show love for that person.
In conclusion, personally, I am of the opinion that there should be spent much money on the family celebrations, however, there are some who are against this idea.
