Many people believe that animals should not be treated badly and should enjoy the same rights as humans, whereas others think that humans should be prioritized in comparison with animals. People can satisfy their needs, such as food and research, by utilizing animals. People think that animals have the same emotions and feelings as humans, even though animals are unable to talk. However, I agree that humans should be able to make use of animals because they can be a great source of nutritional food and also serve as a basis for various scientific research.

On one hand, many people believe that humans should be able to use animals for their advantage, such as food, research, and medicinal purposes. A significant portion of people sells meat, eggs, and milk from different animals to earn a living. Moreover, animals provide a great and affordable source of nutritional food. Many individuals cannot afford other vegetarian sources of protein, so their only option to obtain nutrition is from animals. Since humans and animals share a certain percentage of DNA, scientific studies conducted on animals can benefit humans. Scientists can study animals to find solutions to diseases like cancer and tuberculosis. Parts of animals, such as skin, bones, teeth, and hair, can also be used to treat various diseases in humans. For example, scientists have first tested vaccines on animals that have saved millions of lives worldwide.

On the other hand, many people believe that animals experience emotions similar to humans. There are numerous companies that exploit animals solely for profit. In other words, these companies use animals to produce luxury items like home decor, fashion and beauty products, and medicines, which are not essential for human consumption. The over-exploitation of animals can lead to their extinction. For instance, many high-fashion brands hunt snakes and crocodiles for expensive bags. The high demand for these items brings many species of animals close to extinction.

In conclusion, while there are concerns about animal extinction due to exploitation, I believe that using animals for consumption, livelihood, and scientific research can enable humans to satisfy their needs and reap benefits in the long term.
