Some individuals believe that using animals for various purposes is acceptable, while others argue that it is harmful. This essay will discuss both views and I will explain my own viewpoint.
On the one hand, one of the benefits of using animals such as dogs is to help blind and disabled people. Some types of dogs are specifically trained to assist these individuals in their daily lives. For example, some developed countries provide blind and disabled people with trained dogs as they are able to help by crossing streets safely and assisting them in emergency situations. As a result, these kinds of people would be provided with care while dogs spend the whole time close to their owners.
Another positive benefit is using dogs in the military. The militaries in different countries frequently use specially trained dogs as the best way to identify the criminal whose purpose was to enter another country illegally. For example, there are many cases when dogs immediately detected illegal substances in airports because of their strong ability to identify the smell of narcotics. Consequently, dogs can be helpful in different military ways as they have a strong sense of smell and responding quickly to suspicious situations.
On the other hand, it is harmful to use animals in various scientific studies that have terrible consequences. Some countries might use endagered animals species solely for their own medical purposes. For example, some scientists in different countries can examine particular medical pills on animals in illegal ways, or even injure them to observe the reaction to certain medications. Therefore, this research may not only have any satisfactory results but also cause animals pain and leave them on their own with low energy.
To sum up, I strongly believe that humans should only use animals for the benefits of both humans and animals because animals are living organisms as well as they also have particular rights. There are even laws about injuring animals for unnecessary purposes.
