It is true that the rate of consumption of natural resources such as oil, forests and fresh water is threaten. The problem has several negative effects but we need to take serious steps to address these issues.
There are a number of problems caused by the excessive consumption of natural resources. To begin with, to improve the standard of living people cut down trees at random. As a result the rate of trees are declining day by day and the country turn into a desert one day. In addition, carbon-dioxide gas is increasing and the amount of oxygen in the air decline. People suffer asthma and other breathing problems. Furthermore, Excessive water consumption can has a serious problem. For example, it creates shortage of fresh water. Due to lack of safe water people drink contaminated water. Whereupon they suffer various types of diseases like cholera, diarrhea, typhoid etc. Moreover, people use excessive amount of plastics and electricity. As a result pollution and green house gas emissions continue to increase. Burning fossil fuels releases greenhouse gases and contributes to climate change. Ultimately lack of natural resources can increase the price of oil, water, fuel and essential goods.
Despite the above arguments, we need to take some steps to resolve this problem. Firstly, the government should raise public awareness. They have to make sure every single people must be know about the effects of lack of natural resources. Thats why the authorities organize some rally, banner, meetings etc. In addition government take some strict law about the issue. If anyone fails to maintain the rules properly they should be punished. Government should cooperate internationally because it cannot be solved by one particular country. Secondly, people must be plant more and more trees to save environment. Thirdly, people should use energy-efficient energy and avoid wasting electricity. Ultimately people have to use public transport and avoid private cars.
In conclusion, although there are many negative effects of the increasing use of natural resources, I personally believe that government already take major steps to solve the problem.
