The topic of whether money should be used as a measurement of success is a widely discussed topic among different kinds of people from different backgrounds. Some believe in the phrase “more money which means more successful” while others might completely disagree.
I disagree with the opinion that being successful should be measured by wealth. On one hand, as one might argue, there are many cases of different people who have worked hard day and night, who were always eager, even optimistic; to learn from their mistakes, they would be devoting their time and effort to improve exponentially in regards to time management and efficiency and possibly even their personalities too; as well as all other sorts of factors and milestones one must achieve and surpass in order to make a lot of money. In other words, it would be childish to deny the fact that a vast amount of hard-earned money is success. Nevertheless, however; on the other hand, money can be earned through several discreet ways, in other words, cheating. It is important to mention that, on addition, there are people who are unmaterialistic and prioritize their spiritual self, for example. For these people, success is more of personal achievement which can be as simple as self-satisfaction.
So, to sum it up, I believe that success should not be measured with money only. I believe that the meaning of the word success itself varies according to each person’s life goals and objectives that they have set for themselves.
