Students today are more than just learners, they are the architects of tomorrow and will shape the future using their knowledge, skills and resilience. Moreover, proper education is imperative for their growth, but there is a common problem of declining concentration rate of students in the classrooms. Understanding the role of students in the progress of the world, such problems should be considered with priority, and solutions to mitigate such problems should be found.
In the contemporary world, there are a lot of distractions for students due to new inventions and advancements in technology. Such inventions can also have a positive impact but due to the tender age and immaturity among the young students, fetching wrong or unnecessary information from internet or accessing adult sites on internet impart adverse effect on the students. Moreover, excessive use of social media also leads to distraction and students lose their concentration and interest in classrooms. Further, even teachers and parents are sometimes responsible for the declining concentration of the students because of their lack of dedication and focus for the proper growth of students.
In order to increase the concentration of students in classrooms, teachers should try to inculcate friendly behaviour in their teaching and should also find creative ways to teach the students. Creative activities always attract students as they experience gaining knowledge in new way. Moreover, parents should try to admit their children in some extra curricular activities like sports, painting, dance and many more because such activities not only helps in developing the particular skill, but also helps in fostering their concentration.
