There is a debate surrounding the topic of healthcare services. While some argue that such services should be free of charge and managed by authorities, others believe that private medical services provide better quality, as well as efficiency. Although private healthcare providers may offer higher quality services, I align with the former view due to the importance of providing services for all social groups without exception.
Admittedly, private medical treatment could be a better option to consider for those who can afford it. This is important because the majority of those companies offer noticeably better services, compared to governmental healthcare providers. The constant health checks, tracking of heart rate, and ensuring the best well being possible are those factors that the proponents of this view emphasize and value the most. Nevertheless, notwithstanding such pros of private providers of medical treatment, I would strongly argue that only wealthy tiers of societies can afford such luxury, which in fact does not influence the lives of individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Therefore, the implementation of legislation that makes provision of healthcare free of charge, and which is governed by the authorities themselves, may be the most viable option to consider. Since not many people can afford healthcare services, which in fact are costly in most of the cases, they are likely to suffer from a variety of illnesses or diseases without getting the proper treatment. This is one of the most vital factors that justifies the action of promoting free healthcare services. Another no less important consideration is that such changes would allow people to take proactive measures against several diseases. Furthermore, if people had such amenities, it would have affected their satisfaction rates in general. This then could come in handy for authorities because they would already have a mutual respect of their citizens.
In conclusion, although private healthcare providers may offer better treatment, I would contend that it applies only to individuals from advantaged backgrounds, who can afford such services, while most of the population struggles to pay for the services of governmental medical institutions, which have noticeably lower pricing compared to private ones. Hence, free medical services would stabilize the situation of a country, in terms of diseases and illnesses, which are not being treated properly, due to the financial struggles of societies.
