It is highly debated all over the world whether taxation should be kept to a minimum or people should pay a substantial amount of taxes in order to support the public services. From my point of view, government should distribute taxes depending on individual’s financial status.
On the one hand, excessive taxation has a lot of drawbacks. People who work hard, eventually may think that their work is depreciated and they become less motivated. Besides, many businesses cannot improve their system because of high taxes, thus, infrastructure can decrease in countries where taxation is high. So, high taxes interfere people from developing and using money for themselves.
On the other hand, almost all public services depend on taxes. For instance, governments use taxes to fund hospitals and schools. As a result, individuals can easily get access to essential services. So, people should pay relatively high taxes to improve their quality of life. Still governments should distribute taxes depending on people’s financial situation. Thus people who earn a lot of money should have higher taxation, than people with less finances. This system is implemented in many countries and lead to more stable development and maintenance of the country.
In conclusion, although, many people suppose that taxation should be at the minimum because people want to spend money on themselves, taxation sdhould be higher because we need to support those public services we all relay on. Besides, governments should make taxation more transparent, to improve people’s awareness and understanding of taxation system.
