It may seem that students who finished their education in schools choose to continue their studies at universities rather than to participate as workers. This essay will discuss both positives and negatives of such decisions. I opine that going to a university has many beneficial sides for an individual who tends to have better life conditions.
One significant advantage of having a university degree is that it can help a person achieve a better standard of living as with a degree a worker is more likely to have a more fulfilling position at work compared to an employee without it. Consequently, a person’s financial status mostly depends on their status at work which stands for their education and experience.
However, some people argue that going to a university is non-beneficial as they assume that the younger generation should quit their education after high school. Additionally, they state that in some cases becoming affluent in life does not have any connections with education. I partly agree with this thesis as for instance, skilled jobs such as culinary do not require any achievements in the curriculum and are mostly based on practical skills. However, citizens in such positions do not tend to have a better quality of life as such jobs do not usually meet the financial needs of an individual.
To conclude, while vocational jobs do not expect high performance in education, most well-paying companies assume that a job seeker with a degree is more competitive.
Despite the disadvantages, the merits of going to a university are far more significant.
