The vast majority of people believe that the internet causes individuals to become socially isolated while some believe that it connects people worldwide. Being overly active in the internet renders an individual unavailable socially. Introverted people prefer a quiet life, but it can get dull; thus, the internet cures boredom by engaging in websites. In addition to engagement in social media, the internet does connect distant individuals by calls or texts. Families can be apart and distant due to harsh circumstances, so the internet connects them despite the distances covered between them.
A viable path towards peace is seclusion, but the internet is an effective method to achieve peace. Individuals seem to care less about conventional morals, and rather start to look for their passion. Pursuing what you love seems more pragmatic than abiding by values that always praise socialising. Not only does the internet offer solitude, but it also offers happiness. Therefore, seeking happiness is a substantially better option than following meaningless values.
Being distant from loved ones can be despairing. In order to reduce sadness, the internet offers a variety of methods to communicate with whoever you desire to contact. Communication is still intact in spite of the distance between one another. Hearing a familiar voice does fill the gap in an individual’s heart.
To conclude, the internet can cause an individual to be socially inactive by attaching him or herself to social media platforms and it can also gather companions together. The internet predominantly unites people across valleys and seas by calls, texts, or emails.
