In recent years, the advertising industry on TV and the Internet has become highly developed, especially in the category of merchandise for children. Advertisers, meanwhile, hope that youngsters are able to pressure their parents to buy what they desire by ‘pester-power’. In the forthcoming essay, I intend to express my opinions about whether products should be advertised or not and how much fair it is in relation to manufacturers.
Initially, it is clear that advertising is a part of the media’s job, and they are obliged to intensely promote diverse commodities. However, looking from another perspective, it affects on children not positively. They do not realize the gist of products, juniors wish to have something that their peers have. Moreover, they try to take it by begging their parents resorting to tears. Thus, I assume that kids’ products should be advertised because it is a marketing strategy which must exist to maintain the economy, and kids, concurrently, should be taught not to be promoted.
What is more, if the promotion of children’s products totally disappears it will influence on factories and their workers. For the reason that the product will not be advertised on TV and other various sources and without demand, their production would be not necessary anymore, and all of the manufacturers have absolute risks be unemployment. Therefore, from my perspective, it could be inequitable to individuals who work in the processing of these types of merchandise.
To conclude, I can say that while advertising plays a crucial role in promoting products, especially those targeting children, its impact on young consumers must be carefully considered. Furthermore, it will have consequences, if advertisements stop spreading to wide public, so it is essential to keep the showing types of promotion but limit it or redesign for mature perception.
