Band 5+: any lawyers are suggested that should be changed and that a jury should be given all the past facts before they made their decision about the case.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this period of inflation, many lawyers are suggested that should be changed and that a jury should be given all the past facts before they made their decision about the case. This is because without the past data a person can not be judged properly. In my opinion, I strongly, agree with this notion and my opinion will be discussed in further paragraphs with a suitable conclusion.

Supporting to my agreement to the given statement, I firmly believe that a person should not be judged without their previous crime records. For example, an individual who has been arrested due to pickpocketing for the first time in his life can’t be punished equally compared to another person who is a professional thief. Moreover, sometimes people commit crimes unwillingly, so without considering their historical data and give sentences would not be a wise decision by any judge. For instance, people often do accident, as a result sometimes they cause serious hamper to other person, but they get punishment for their deed.

Explaining some of the another supporting points in favor of this statement, it is true that criminal needs to be punished. However, sometimes people get caught into fights or illicit activities but they get framed similarly to the actual culprits. For example, in countryside area, some silly debates get so nasty that it turns into a fight and people accuse other person for nothing and file case against innocent people.

On the other side, it has some demerits also. At first, its not always possible for prosecutor to study earlier criminal case of a person. Following this, it also becomes difficult for court to hear all of the records as it has case schedule over the day. For example, in recent ear, court hearing has specific timeline that everyone has to follow.

In epilogue, I would like to reiterate that practice should be revised and jury should consider history of the criminal. I believe that aforementioned points are strongly supporting my view point.
