In many parts of the world, individuals are not distributing the plastic and other waste, thus harming the environment. The reason for that is an inadequate level of awareness provided at educational institutions, and people might not comprehend the seriousness of this issue. To encourage citizens to recycle and sort the trash, the government has to establish certain regulations.
First of all, a huge number of schools, universities, and workplaces in diverse countries are not raising the question of sorting the litter. Children go to primary school, and usually they are not taught about what to start with and how to correctly deal with daily waste. Thus, people from a young age do not get the meaning of the situation, and our planet is being damaged each day. A recent research had been conducted on the website “Save the Planet” among high school pupils, university students, and professional workers in Europe, and unfortunately the outcomes stated that 70% of the residents do not have an idea about how one unsorted bottle or a newspaper could damage the environment significantly. Hence, people keep littering around without reckoning the global warming problem.
The solutions for these obstacles are to encourage fines or even punishments for those who do not follow the law of recycling. If that technique is carried out worldwide, then humans would be more cautious and mindful when littering. Public places have to limit the usage of plastic and paper each week, and people need to start bringing their own bottles and devices to the workplace. Schools, especially primary ones, have to teach children to always distribute and sort the waste in the household as well as in civic space. Countries in South East Asia are now implementing a special course on eco-friendly literacy at primary and secondary school and how to deal with glass, plastic, and other trash properly.
To summarize what has been stated so far, the justification regarding the pollution of plastic bottles, cans, bags, paper, and the glass is due to the insufficient knowledge about upcoming global heating. The possible encouragement might be to put a strict rule by the government, so everybody would know the consequences and initially recycle the waste properly.
