The main reason for this development is the lack of civic sence and natural awareness. Although this problem is massive, it can be solved by promoting awareness camps and providing people with benefits such as, coupons and gifts.
Multiple nations nowadays suffer with people having poor civic sence. People are often not aware of their duties and responsibilites as a citizen. This leads to people being careless about recycling as they are not aware of the natural impacts of these waste materials. Apart from carelessness and lack of natural awareness, other major reason are the poor facilities. For example, often all types of wastes are collected collectively to make the process faster and easier, this leads to people mixing wastes and throwing everything and anything, which often leads to dumping of waste which could have been recycled.
People avoiding recycling is a massive issue and unfortunately cannot be resolved in a single day, hence there is a need of a long term solution such as awarness camps. Awareness camps targets the main issue of poor natural awareness. Multiple camps organised throughout a year can create awareness among a massive number of people. Further, people getting aware would itself create a trend to recycle. Moreover, this solution can be more efficent if the government can introduce gifts, tickets and even money to promote the people to recycle. This would lead to a large number of people doing recycling everyday.
