A significant number of animal species all around the globe are considered endangered. It is believed by some that governments and people have to focus on solving this issue, whereas others consider human issues to be more important.
On the other hand, protecting animal species is essential for maintaining ecological balance. Many species are disappearing due to deforestation, overfishing, and industrial pollution, all caused by human activities. Since ecosystems are interconnected, the loss of one species can lead to disastrous consequences. For example, birds take part in controlling insect populations. If they become extinct, farmers would have to rely on pesticides, harming the environment even more. Therefore, people are obliged to protect wildlife to ensure ecological stability.
On the other hand, some argue that human issues such as poverty, disease, war, and natural disasters require immediate attention, as they are a direct threat to life and well-being. To solve such challenges, governments need enough funding. Consequently, it might be hard to decide whether to allocate money to help combat famine and poverty or to fight animal extinction.
All in all, I believe that healthcare, poverty, and disappearing animal diversity are equally concerning and require urgent attention. Governments and individuals should provide balanced help for any struggling creature, whether it is a human or an animal. Only safe ecosystems can guarantee a secure future for everyone.
