Art is regarded as a necessary part of all cultures around the world. However, nowadays, fewer people admire art as they have shifted their interest towards science, technology, and business. This trend often occurs because art is not directly associated with wealth or financial gain, and at times, the government does not provide the same level of support for the arts as it does for other sectors.
Today, many people are tied to technology and science; they find it difficult to go a single day without the advancements that have been established. This dependency on science has made our lives easier, impacting everything from daily activities to office work, transportation, and communication. Through science, individuals can perceive things that are not visible. Conversely, people are increasingly drawn to business as a means to earn money and improve their quality of life. Unemployment remains a pressing concern in society, driving individuals to engage in business ventures where they can generate profit. From my perspective, this is primarily why people’s focus has shifted from art to science and business.
Although people currently prioritize science and business over art, one significant factor contributing to this situation is the government’s lack of interest in the arts. According to a recent survey, 57% of people in our country believe that if the government placed equal emphasis on art, public interest would increase significantly. Furthermore, if artists received proper recognition and compensation, they would be more inclined to pursue their crafts. This could become a platform for nurturing creativity. Therefore, the government should establish funding for the arts and create institutions where citizens can develop their creative skills. Such initiatives would provide an excellent platform to showcase our culture.
In conclusion, although people are interested in science and technology, art also plays a vital role in human life. Art serves as a mirror reflecting a country’s culture and history. People should prioritize art because it rejuvenates our minds and souls. For this reason, the government should pay closer attention to the arts.
