In contemporary times, it is commonly believed that countries need to import different things, such as clothes, food, beverages, and other stuff from foreign places and that fact plays a main role in creating the price. Moreover, dependency on one country on another. In my opinion, this trend is harmful to home production, as well as our wallet and state.
Opening the boards between countries increased imports and exports, which changed the national economy. In other words, the government depends on the production of another state; however, has an opportunity to be independent. A good example is the Gas Crisis in Europe. Slovakia, Hungarian, and Poland have been dependent on gas from Russia. After starting the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, the president of Russia decided to switch off the tap with gas for countries in the European Union. Consequently, many countries have big trouble because of heating, industrial companies, and cooking.
The second main reason is the price of the product. This is because the final price of transported goods includes production, petrol, wages, and tax. If the price of petrol or diesel grows, then the price of bread will increase too because flour is a subject of transportation from Ukraine. A main drawback could be the worst scenario. If the country stays without imported commodities, for example, toilet paper. This situation happened in the United Kingdom when people would buy these staff, but instead of this have been staring into the empty shelves.
In conclusion, import is very important with products, which are not possible to prepare in the home country, such as bananas, pineapples, and so on. However, can jeopardise the country in unpredictable situations. In addition, the country is irresponsible for creating the price policy, because of many outers factors. In my opinion, I firmly disagree that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks and I am convinced that each country has to protect and sustain people by producing of the minimum level of products, which are used on a daily bases by customers.
