Nowadays, scientists assume that testing new chemical compounds on animals is a wise decision. Many people believe that it is acceptable to make animals suffer than a life of a human being. This is an unacceptable excuse, and I strongly disagree this kind of statement.
Firstly, the animal kingdom is important for our ecosystem and they have equal rights as humans to live on earth. And developed countries have laws to protect the animals from various kinds of humans’ threat including abusive experiments on them. Testing freshly formulated chemical on animals is cruel and cold-hearted. Although calculating potential risk is a part of the task, these little innocent creatures should not deserve to be harmed. In some articles, some cosmetic companies task on rabbits to discover the side effects of their new products.
In the other hand, many species have different types of biological structures compared to human beings. Therefore, even if they trail with warm-blooded mammals like monkeys, rabbits, the chemicals reactions can be different. Which means this kind of research is useless. Moreover, new technologies and techniques are improving day by day. By applying this improvement, we can reduce disadvantage on animals’ lives and can support a peaceful world for them. Plus, we can analyze the ingredients and evaluate the potential side effects through computer. And then we can adjust the formula to less harmful structure and distribute to markets.
In conclusion, using animals to test is unsuitable to do. Even though we have numerous methods, people are still using expired techniques which isn’t right.
