In recent years, it has been observed in many counties that younger adult population is higher than the elderly population. In my view, I believe that having more numbers of younger people leads to faster development of a country however, having lesser number of elderly people will hinder the smooth passage of culture and traditions from this generation to another.
As younger adults are full of energy and enthusiasm, they are the ones responsible for the overall development of the country. Younger people emphasize about the development of a country from a newer dimensions and hence having younger adults that shape the future of the country can lead the overall development. For example: When allowed to rule a country by younger generation, it has been observed that a country ruled by younger generation have higher number of GDP rate than compared to older generations. Additionally, younger are dynamic in nature, they tent to catch things easily, resolve issues promptly and make logical decisions. These features of younger people can be strengthen by empowering them from a very young age so that they can sharpen their skills and utilize these sills for the overall development of a country.
On the other hand, older people know history, these population know more about a country’s development from various different perspectives i.e socio-economic aspect, cultural aspect and political aspects. So, for any developmental activities inside the country, older people will more know of what to do and what not to. Moreover, the traditions and culture they have cannot be easily passed down from them to next generation with the lesser number of elderly population. Cultures, values, norms and traditions will not be passed down and a result will gradually diminish over time. For example: the first generation people passed down their culture of celebrating their traditional festival to the next generation, but for instance the second generation people are no more to teach the third generation about that specific traditional festival than the third generation people will never know how to celebrate that particular festival.
In conclusion, although we can get to learn a lot of thing from older generation, I believe having more number of younger people than the elder ones leads to the overall development of a country.
