In modern world, motor vehicles are prominent need of person’s life. While some believes that it should be completely prohibited from the cities I am completely agree with this notion and will explain my viewpoints with example in the subsequent paragraphs along with some initiatives for alternative solution.
To begin with, abundance of vehicles on the roads is one of main reason of causing traffic and air pollution. Nowadays, mostly everyone in the family has their own car and they prefer to commute to office, which is located in the cities, in their car for more comfort and to maintain their living standard. This is not only increasing the vehicles on the roads but also disrupt the environment. For example, in New Delhi, large movement of personal cars has badly impacted the traffic of the capital city and it is ranked as most polluted place of the nation. Therefore, these factors contributes to inhibit the movement of vehicles in the urban area.
However, government should come forward with some policies to control traffic such as, encouraging people to use public transport and provide some offers and discounts for students and corporate employees on using railways, buses, metro etcetera. For Instance, in Bangalore, state authorities has issued monthly passes to youngsters and office going people at discounted price. By this way, traffic and pollution has been controlled effectively. Hence, such key initiatives could be the solution of this problem.
To conclude, extensive vehicles in the developed areas is a matter of concern and it should not be allowed. This is the major reason of increasing traffic on the road and environmental pollution. Few initiatives by leadership such as increase usage of public conveyance and by providing deals on its usage could be alternative to this problem and being a civilized person of this society, everyone should adopt this change.
