Industrialisation and centralised availability of basic needs are the reasons behind the growth in number of people who are moving from villages to cities. A booming population in the urban area has more dark sides than the bright sides. Neither overall development being a concern, mass amount of people start living in city areas illustrates any significant positive note.
Over the recent years, living in the town has become an attraction for most people. As human beings, every individual would want to make sure that their basic needs are met. Job opportunities, better treatment, availability of shopping malls, and for a chance of receiving better education made people think about living in the city areas. This resulted in the rise of population in urban areas.
However, it doesn’t carry significant value for overall development. Development should be in place all over a country. Besides, over populating the city has its own drawbacks. An overwhelming amount of people can cause several problems. For instance, a large amount of vehicles are needed to accommodate a large number of people, ultimately resulting in traffic jam. Also, to an increase in the number of buildings are decreasing the number of fields, tress and empty places on the other hand.
To draw conclusion, it can be said that the value of lifestyle should be the measurement of development, and a vast amount of people moving to the cities are not improving it. Thus it can be stated that the giving argument has more negative points than positive ones.
