Studies demonstrate that pupils are more capable of learning different languages than older ones. Therefore, I strongly believe that younger people should acquire more languages due to their flexibility as well as their availability.
First of all, children are more fresh and adaptive to learn new things, especially new words and foreign languages. Besides that, they tend to be more enthusiastic, particularly in interactive methods such as video games with long speech stories like Red Dead and online games that make them in touch with different foreign people around the world where they could directly practice those languages through speaking and communicating. Also, by watching cartoons and movies to enhance their listening skills and broaden their knowledge, owing to their flexibility to memorize and absorb new languages remarkably quickly.
In addition, young learners are more available since they have more free time. In contrast, older people have way more responsibilities to do, including funding their families, and the fact that they are less motivated to learn new things. On the other hand, young people are so curious and open to this world. However, adults must always keep pushing and motivating the new generation.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that younger people have many advantages and are capable of learning multiple foreign languages due to their adaptability and their accessibility. In my opinion, parents are obligated to teach and encourage their kids from a young age to learn, since children who acquire a second language at a young age often outperform monolingual peers cognitively.
