Nowadays, many people believe that children should not have mobile devices when they are in elementary school. In my opinion, it is preferable not to offer digital devices to children, as this might encourage children to lead a well-balanced lifestyle and focus on their studies.
The primary reason is that the restriction on using phones would have a profound and lasting impact on children’s daily habits. In fact, children will be able to focus on their well-being and become determined to improve it. For instance, children might not struggle with obsessive phone use, which might lead to a sedentary lifestyle throughout the day. Additionally, they would not struggle with being closed-minded and isolated due to their daily routine. This restriction might result in them becoming open-minded and interactive, as children would prioritize spending time with family members or even friends throughout the day. As a result, children might become productive and physically active, which is beneficial for them.
An additional reason for my stance is that the prohibition of smartphone use would encourage children to concentrate on their studies. For instance, children can focus on completing tasks and memorising assignments without being distracted by mobile phones. They would not encounter procrastination or inflexibility due to a lack of concentration. Moreover, it would have a positive impact on their behaviour and personality, as children would prioritize being dedicated and disciplined. Hence, they will experience remarkable improvements in their academic performance.
In conclusion, I believe that it is beneficial not to provide children with mobile phones from a young age, as they would enhance their performance and promote healthier lifestyles.
