Band 6+: Children should not have their own mobile phones or smartphones when they are in elementary school. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people argue that children should not be permitted to use smartphones and laptops before they become teenagers. In this essay,I will partially agree with this statement. Firstly,I will discuss the opposing viewpoints. Secondly,I will delve into some reasons that letting children using electronic products without adults’ supervision can bring harmful impacts on children at their young age.

On one hand,it is understandable for people to believe that it is hard to completely prevent children from using smartphones. One of the main reasons can be that electronic devices are revolutionizing schools’ communication forms. For example, many schools or educational institutions tend to keep in touch with pupils and parents by masseging systems, which is a universal method for communication. Moreover, there is an increasing number of teaching materials for children which have been made in electronic vision, which means that children are totally banned from using those device is impossible for current era.

On the other hand,it is more convincing that letting children use smartphones without limmitation can bring about couples of negative impacts on children’s behavior. For example, although these devices are convenient, they can be very addictive. Children will become less healthy if they spend too much time on screen instead of on exercise or playing outside. Additionally, there is too much harmful content posted on internet, which may lead to bad mental development. For instance, children who have not yet develop enough sense of right and wrong may imitate violent or inappropriate behavior shown on screen. Thus, when using electronic products, children should be supervised by their parents who can dilute dertrimental information.

In conclusion, although these devices play an important role in children’s education, which could not be totally prevented in modern centries. It seems that parents still should set down some limittation for children before they become teenagers with certain levels of valued judgement.
