The graduation certificates seem to be one of the essenced for searching a ideal work for many that is because having a drgree is a basic requirement for certain professonal works, for instance, doctor, dentist, acountant and so on. Professional trainings and license gained from their tertiary education s are a must tor these high paid jobs. A bachelor degree acts as a stepping stone for them to enter these industries, which most regarded them as successful, good and steady career path. Furthermore, knowlege learned from lectureds is the foundation for these good fields. Psychologist apply the theories of Erik Erikson that they have been taught to their patients. Without knowledge, they will incapble to work and show their profession.
However, some argues that gaining experience or getting soft skills can get good job easily compared to the academic backgrounds. They indicate that employee’s competency are reflected by their skills and experiences instead of their certifications as the knowlege from books is unable to apply on works. Many of them agree that soft skills are not adquired by reading handouts in classes, but can be trained trough hand-on experiences. Teacher is a good example. Most of the undergraduates lack of classroom management skills, resulting in failures to deal with children’s dicipline problems in real life.
