In current society, electronic devices such as computers are being applied in education day by day due to their benefits. However, there are some people who hold different attitude argue that computers also have some drawbacks. This essay aims to highlight the benefits and short-comings of applying computers to education and give my opinions.
From one side, using computer in academy has a variety number of advantages. The top advantage is that it is good for youngsters’ long run. In the early age, they can step by step approach technology. For instance, in some secondary schools, students are taught to finish their report or speech by powerpoint or canva. This help them approach to numerous apps, become skilled in using these apps and finish the similar report or speech easier and more smoothly tin the future. The other benefit occurs on students’ study. This make the lessons become more fascinating and reduce the tediousness which motive students focus on their lessons and draw their interest with study.
From the other side, computers using also has detrimental impacts. First, it leads to health related issue. For example, it causes harm to both students and teachers eyes. Second, teachers who are the older generation can be in deep trouble. It is hard for old teachers to catch up the development of technology. These people tends to spend a lot of time to learn how to use computers and other social media. Third, applying computers to academy needs electricity and internet. If there are no electricity or internet, the lessons apply computers can not start and it return to ordinary lessons.
To summarize, applying computers to education has it own benefits and short-comings. From my perspective, the disadvantages are outweighted by the other. It is wise for a person to apply computers to their lessons.
