As technology continues to develop, AI is becoming increasingly advanced. Therefore, it is often argued that AI will significantly influence human beings in the future. However, I do not completely agree with this statement, as AI can be considered a double-edged sword. Although it can perform basic and repetitive tasks efficiently, it still has limitations when dealing with complex situations that require emotional intelligence, empathy and human judgement.
On the one hand, AI can do repetitive tasks by improving automation, making basic workers or production workers have fewer job opportunities. For example, people can use AI to design robotic functions to do basic tasks efficiently. As automation can produce things more efficiently and run for 24 hours, company owners may use more robots to get more outcomes and profits. AI can also be used in the study sector, making students lazier and more dependent on AI. If AI continues to improve, it will become a very complex concern for students in the future, as it could replace students by doing all their schoolwork instead.
On the other hand, emotional intelligence cannot be totally fulfilled by AI because we feel secure and safe when hugging someone who values and loves us. It may be true that AI can give us compliments, but it cannot build a strong connection with our minds like an emotional interconnection because it lacks face-to-face connection, understanding of feelings and suitable motivation. As a result, however much AI advances, it cannot invent a real AI soulmate or AI buddy that can completely replace human relationships. Also, in the business sector, such as marketing, although AI can provide ways to search for information about the market, it cannot truly know what will appeal to people. AI also cannot fully understand how to satisfy customers’ wants and fulfil their needs, especially when trends are constantly changing.
In conclusion, I want to point out that it cannot be totally agreed that AI will replace or strongly influence human beings in every aspect of life. Although AI can make basic and repetitive tasks easier and improve productivity, it still cannot completely replace human emotional intelligence, empathy and personal connections. Therefore, AI should be seen as a useful tool for humans rather than something that can completely replace them.
