Band 4+: The best way to solve traffic and transportation problems is to encourage people to live in cities rather than suburbs and the countryside. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It has been suggested that, living in the city might assists the traffic and transportation problems. I completely disagree with this notion, as i think the problem is linked to the growth of the population and the poor conditions of roads.

From my point of view, the main reason that cause traffic and transportation probles is wrong distrubition of individuals. Nowadays, all the necessary facilities are built in the city center, and this situation forces people to live in the city. As number of people booming, vehicle number on roads also increase. For instance, all the universities are located in the cities, rather than suburbs or counteysides, and it leads students have to moved to the cities. Equal distribution of all the facilities, might help the reduction in the population in the center.

Therefore, roads in the cities are mostly in repair processes, which cause that roads are closed for a long time. Because of that transport vehicles such as private cars and buses are forced to change their routes, and this leads they could not reach the bus stop at the exact time. Employers and student are also suffered from road repairations, they cannot arrive work, school, and university on time. Construction of new roads would be more convenient for public, rather than rebuilding the existing ones. These roads can be built from suburbs and countrysides to city center, so that every places would be available for society.

To conclude, people gathering in the city would not solve the problem. population number and road conditions should be rectified.
