Our fast-paced world has been changed with the appearance of numerous digital technologies such as AI. While some individuals tend to believe that artificial intelligence is quite useful, others argue about its negative effect on society and risk of control over mankind. I strongly disagree with this point of view, because AI has been made as a mathematical machine without any senses, feelings and physical abilities.
One of the main reasons why digital tools can not take over humanity – no stimulus. Neural networks lack emotions and the desire for power, it has no reason to rebel against humans, even in the worst scenario. If a person gave tools exact rules, instructions and restrictions, they would not contradict him, because AI performs only those target functions that were programmed into it. Furthermore, it does not have evolutionary mechanisms or lust for power, so it is not capable of dominating its own creators. Accordingly, machines will not take us over, as a result of lack of stimulus.
Another reason for this is AI’s physical dependency. It will not be able to control us without a material body, even the most sophisticated programmes are linked to huge data centers and AI chips. Moreover, governments are creating strict rules to limit AI systems. For example, important infrastructure such as power stations has separated from the Internet in order to avoid outside control. In addition, only humans are allowed to make final decisions. As a result, AI will stay under human control and will hardly ever become an independent power.
In conclusion, the idea that artificial intelligence could dominate humanity is highly unlikely, because it is a machine without biological motivation to control us. Additionally, its absolute reliance on physical hardware, without a physical body, means it cannot act on its own. In conclusion, AI is just a tool made by humans, and it will stay under our control.
