There is a widely-discussed issue on whether using written documents or produced movies about the past is beneficial for people in today’s world. While the thorough and detailed explanations as well as different points of views about the life of people in the past can be found in historic books, I am strongly inclined to accept the notion that watching video clips and movies can be more practical for the people who are living in the computer age.
On the one hand, academics are often interested in exploring such books that are written about the culture, faith, language, and values of an ancient community because this activity brings some benefits. Firstly, there are numerous of written documents about various historic period of time despite the limitted number of real movies about past, since the invention of recording devices dates back to the recent time. Secondly, the most ancient events have been changed over the course of time, so there are various opinions recorded on books about the past, and it can help modern people to explore ditortions. Ultimately, movies and films are only covered the most important and crucial parts of traditional happenings. Hence, they are not as detailed as historic books.
On the other hand, due to enormous shifts in the lifestyles of human beings, films and movies are more appealed to them. In other words, humans are often snowed under challenging burdens duirng their everyday life, and this is why, they look for entertainments to lift up their mood in their spare time. Therefore, since reading books may appear tedious for the majority of the general public nowadays, they prefer to watch movies rather than reading copies of books. Additionally, the visual form of past events enables people from all walks of life to be aware of traditional cultures, languages, and social etiquette. In fact, there are some people in any societies who are illiterate, and because of that, simulating books using actors may help them to recognize better. Furthermore, watching movies may help individuals to save their time, energy, and money. Although it seems challenging to attend cinema to watch recently released movies due to the bumper-to-bumper tarfic jams in cities, citizens are able to use various platforms, notably Netflix, to watch them later in their own dwellings with reasonable prices.
In conclusion, By taking all the aforementioned explanations into account, it would appear that watching movies is the preference of almost all people, except for the academics in the field of history, due to more being matched with modern people’s lifestyles.
