Corruption is a common problem for some countries. I strongly believe that the main causes of this are personal greed and weak law enforcement. However, several solutions can be implemented, including governments improving working conditions and establishing stricter rules.
One of the main reasons for this is a desire for more money. If people are dissatisfied with their current salary, they give in to greed, accepting bribes and using their authority for personal benefits. Moreover, the weaker the government’s control, the more corruption tends to occur, as criminals continue to engage in corruption without facing serious consequences. For example, a company director hires their inexperienced relatives or friends as a manager while overlooking better-qualified candidates. Since governments ignore such decisions based on personal relationships, individuals continue to be involved in corruption.
Nevertheless, governments can make working conditions better to address this problem. If people have increased salaries, they will be more satisfied with their jobs and avoid committing crimes. In addition, the stricter the laws, the less corruption there can be because individuals face punishments and understand the seriousness of participating in corrupt actions. For instance, when people are strictly punished for accepting bribes, they may avoid doing such actions in the future and behave more fairly.
As a result, some countries will reduce the level of corruption and create a more equitable society.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that the main causes of corruption are a desire for more money for personal advantages and ineffective law enforcement. However, it can be solved by governments enhancing salaries and setting stricter rules
