It is often argued that raising children to be good members of society is the role of their parents. Although many people agree with this statement, I think schools have the majority in making the youth more beneficial to their community, as it is the place where children form new relationships, and some teachers are more professional in detecting a child’s ability.
On the one hand, the role of the parents in developing their boys and girls is essential. Parents are the individuals who are able to recognize and observe their kids’ behaviour, as they spend much time with them in comparison to anyone else; therefore, newborns easily accept what their parents tell them, due to the high level of trust and bonding. For instance, children never stop sucking their thumbs unless they get warned by their parents as they confide in them.
On the other hand, many parents are not specialized in discovering the power of their kids. So the schools do this job instead of them, with a high level of professionalism. Teachers are dealing with their students consistently, so they can motivate the children and direct them towards their strengths, specifically when that is done by the modern methods of child-rearing. Moreover, schools are the place where young people collaborate with each other; therefore, their communication skills are enhanced, which makes them crucial for their country. All in all, the role of schools is more vital than the role of parents
To conclude, even though parents are the only ones responsible for making their children good members, I think the role of schools is more significant, because it is the place where children gain new skills and cooperate, and also contain the professionals who can unleash the hidden power of the students.
