Some people believe that countries should produce all food for their residents and citizens and less focus on import food. I strongly argee with this steatment because nations would less rely on other countries and their production. Additionally, the focus on domestic production would encourage a development of locan business.
Countries which fully produce goods by themselves are less depended on other countries. Local companies can provide all necessary food and equipment. This development strongly supportes the economy. The threats such as sanctions or a rise in the price of imported goods are less likely to affect citizens, because they have alternatives in local production. For example, a couple years ago many countries imposed sanctions on Russia. However, the economy did not fall due to the local manufactories, which were able to provide alternatives. As a result, domestic production was able to support residents and the economy was not hugly affected. This example underlines the importance to have indepented economy.
The government could support its economy and local businesses, by focusing on the domestic production. Such measures would ecourage local busineses to build facories and offices insead of the import. As a result more workforce would required, leading to the fall in the unemployment. For example, the USA has imposed tariffs on imported goods to ecourage local companies to develop product in the country and provide new opportunities for the residents. The government underlines the importance and advantages of this measure, highlighting it would create more workplaces.
In conclusion, I firmly agree that countries should produce food by themselves and do not prioritise import. It would support the economy, making it more independent, and also this would positively impact on domestic business, providing more workplaces.
