Some individuals argue that the society with the long-term working hours have achieved greater economic success than regions which impose shorter working hours. From my perspective, I absolutely agree such a statement and will reflect on my own views on this issue.
One key reason why I support this idea is that the society consists of people who contribute to their country’s development. If every person have a constant work and high salary, they provide country’s economy with their taxes. For example, in Japan, which has the longest working hours, people work 8 hours without time-out in a day. Not only do they work hard, but also they use to working late after work. Through this, they show their loyalty to their country. So, I believe that one loyal individual can significantly effect the economic growth of their community.
On the other hand, some studies show that short-term work has some disadvantages for a country and company which give emoluments as well. At first, with plenty of free time after getting off work, employees spend their evenings in the different relaxing areas like restaurants and bars. Secondly, employers usually do not offer a good salary to workers who have part-time or only spend a few hours at the workplace. As a result, people have to spend money efficiency. I believe that these issues have a major impact on the national economy and may may lead to poverty and unemployment.
In conclusion, although employees who have a part-time job have a spare time to spend on relaxation and with family, working more hours has a higher impact on productivity and national economy growth.
