Developing countries often need help from international organizations to improve their economies and living standards. Some people think financial aid is the best solution, while others believe practical support and advice are more useful. This essay will discuss both views and explain my opinion.
On the one hand, financial aid can help poor countries solve serious problems such as poverty, weak healthcare and poor infrastructure. Many countries do not have enough money to build hospitals, schools or roads. International organizations can support these projects and improve people’s lives. Also, during natural disasters or economic crises, financial aid can provide food, clean water and medicine for people in need. Therefore, money is very important in emergency situations.
On the other hand, practical aid and expert advice may be more useful in the long term. Sometimes governments use financial aid badly because of corruption or poor management. As a result, poor people may not benefit from the money. Practical help, such as training doctors, teachers and farmers, can help countries become more independent. For example, modern farming methods can increase food production for many years.
In my opinion, both kinds of help are necessary, but practical support is more effective because it gives countries knowledge and skills for the future. In conclusion, practical assistance creates long-term development and helps countries become more self-sufficient.
