While it is argued that managers should be provided with higher income, some people believe that ordinary workers should gain the same amount of salary as directors do, otherwise, it is considered unfair. This essay will discuss both sides of the current argument, and my view will be pointed out as well.
It should be noted that equal earnings reinforce employee motivation among colleagues, being supported by many people. Fairer salary distribution can lead to higher job satisfaction, as lower-positioned employees might recognize that the organization values their contributions equally, enhancing their sense of morale and motivation. Specifically, team members who are involved in such a working strategy might show a higher positive contribution to the working company in turn. In general, the implementation of no significant gap in income among staff members’ wages is a key advantage for personnel inspiration, gaining benefits for companies as well.
On the other hand, it has been dramatically asserted that an equal pay gap is unfair towards experienced laborers, undermining the fact about the tough responsibilities of directors. Most importantly, the managerial role often is associated with advanced skills along with an educational level, which are reflected in their higher earnings, making the salary gap a reward for investment in these qualifications. Undoubtedly, managers and directors are crucially responsible for making critical decisions that impact the entire organization, involving higher risks, which justifies higher compensation. Broadly, by taking into account directors’ valuable contribution to company development and their level of diploma, it is worth providing them with acceptable salaries, even if they are not the same as others’.
From my point of view, giving managers higher pay is proper due to work stress. Although managers work for longer hours, if it is requested, with a high level of stress and greater accountability, higher compensation is seen as a reward for taking on these additional burdens.
In conclusion, I believe that equality in the pay gap is essential to enrich the motivation of employees; however, there are other more profound factors, such as different levels of qualification and working time. Therefore, it is definitely fair to reward managers with higher income.
