One of the most crucial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic is rising unemployment. It is a clear fact that thousands of people are fired from their jobs due to economic reasons of COVID-19. To give an example, when people who have jobs started to stay at home, thousands of businesses such as gyms, restaurants, or physical stores closed down because people could not come to these places. That is why, it has increased unemployment. Another point is that the COVID-19 pandemic stopped international trade because countries closed their borders in order to keep infection among people. For instance, if you are an international company, they could not trade until the countries reopened their borders. In short, the pandemic has influenced the flow of work.
Along with rising unemployment, the secondary primary effect is that most people encounter serious psychological problems such as anxiety and depression. We accept it or not, COVID-19 has led to people’s loneliness. To illustrate, people were isolated for months and were not allowed to meet anyone outside, and humans could only communicate through video or voice calls alone. Therefore, people encountered problems like depression and anxiety. In addition, people are not only faced with loneliness but also other psychological problems such as depression. teenagers and young adults had to stay at home with their family members throughout this isolation period. People at these ages easily get bored or even depressed when they cannot go out and meet their friends. In brief, there has been an increase in psychological problems due to COVID-19.
