Advantage And Disadvantage

Band 7+: Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages ? Many museums charge for admission while others are free.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people believe that many museums charge for admission while others are free. This essay argues that there are some advantages to charging people for admission to museums because this will increase people’s attention. In terms of disadvantages, this may lose some visitors who are not interested in museums.

Initially, charging people for admission everywhere has many benefits, especially for museums. This method works to attract people’s attention and interest. There are several advantages: as you know, old things, books, and paintings have been saved in museums, but the population prefers to go to vacation parks or spaces than to visit museums. By charging for admission to museums, we may attract the attention of people who are interested in museums. In particular, charging for admission helps to increase interest across various ages. For example, the Museum of the Lover implemented charging for admission and gained fame among other museums.

In terms of drawbacks, this method is not always effective. Because of the set charge for admission to museums, some young people are not interested. However, this method may dramatically increase the number of visitors and is very efficient for museums. Also, charging for admission helps children to broaden their horizons and gain knowledge about history. For example, some museums in Japan implemented a law about charging admission for museums, and some visitors did not come, but many other people started to visit.

In summary, many museums charge for admission while others are free; this may gain people’s attention and increase the number of visitors to museums. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages in this case.
