There are a number of reasons why economic progress is necessary to reduce famine in the world. One reason is that is development of economic people can improve their quality of life. For example, people can fulfill their basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter. Their cannot improve basic needs but also improve their educational qualification and healthcare. Another reason is that a growing economic can provide more job opportunities and people’s income. As a result, people can efford better housing, cars and healthcare. However, economic develop government provides more money to build road, bridge and hospital. Therefor, economic growth play a major role in improving the overall quality life.
On the other hand, it can not be denied development of economic can damage the environment. Industrial manufecture are haramful for the society in many ways such as reducing fossil-fuels,increase populition and high temperature. Another reason is people cutting trees for build house or office, also reducing playground area. As a result, children and older people cannot find place for play. Most of thr energy that is use is polluting the environment. Effluents from large factories are being dumped indiscriminately and landfill sites are filling up with non-biodegradable wastes.
In conclusion, although economic progress can have some negtative effects on the environment, I believe that economic development is essential for reducing poverty and improving people’s quality of life.
