Nowadays, many people would like to tour by their own car. From my perspective, drawbacks of travelling by car outweigh the benefits.
It is true that travelling by car is more flexible compared to traveling by other vehicles. This is because we can start our trip whenever we want and travel to the place wherever we want. In this case, we will not be limited by the schedule of the vehicles like trains or planes. However, I think this is not a really big problem because nowadays the schedule of trains and planes are also getting more and more flexible and we can get more and more choices during our trip.
On the other hand, there are lots of limitations and inconvenience while travelling by car. For example, rivers or sea cannot be crossed by car if there is no bridge on it. In addition, it is not allowed to drive a car in a foreign country if we do not have an international driving license. Therefore, go on a trip by car will be limited and inconvenient.
What’s more, travelling by car for too long may be very exhausting. While driving a car for the trip for too long, the driver may get very tired, leading to a very bad travelling experience since the driver will need much time for a rest, wasting a lot of time and energy during the trip. However, if choosing public transportation like plains or trains for the trip, there is no need to waste the time and energy, or even a rest can be taken on the train or the plane, giving us a better travelling experience.
In conclusion, even though tour by car may be more flexible, it is not a very big problem and can be solved easily. Plus, travelling by car may be very limited, inconvenient and also exhausting and time-consuming.
