Band 5+: Excessive use of modern technologies is negatively affecting the reading and writing skills of children. Do you agree or disagree with the statement?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

A lot of time with gadgets brings bad effects to reading and writing abilities of young person. Of course, I agree with this statement, because light from the technologies affects to eyes and eyesight. And the addiction, caused by Internet, doesn’t give a chance to work for your brain. Well, I will explain my arguments in the next paragraphs and I will prove why a lot of screen time is bad.

First of all, if children will look at the gadget and its light will be on the maximum, his eyesight will deteriorate. According it, pupil won’t read without glasses and after person won’t live without it. For example, almost all my classmates wear contacts or glasses. Firstly, it is not comfortable. Secondly, they can’t read some information without it, if they sit at the last desk. Thirdly, if they want to relax their eyes, my classmates will take off it. But they won’t see everything! At the result, a lot of children in the world have not completely eyes health.

In my opinion, writing is a skill that requires a lot of brain activity, because you must make logical and beautiful sentences, you must pick good words and phrases. But teenagers direct a lot of attention to the technologies, since, it doesn’t take any intellect. Due to this, children’s brain doesn’t become better, thus, his writing skills too. It will be difficult to think in the life at all.

In conclusion, I think gadgets, technologies, another devises have even more bad sides. And child, who use it regularly, are degrading now. They take modernization as the most important thing in the world. Little by little, they just don’t want to read, write and learn some new school information. Teenagers can get a big addiction, if they don’t stop now!
