The earnings of sports celebrities are a great deal of debate in modern society, and some people believe that such compensation for a job is not fair. I fully disagree with this opinion, and in this essay, I will argue why sportsmen deserve their income.
Firstly, a sportsman becomes famous because he/she archives a great professional level in some sports after a long period of training, sacrificing himself or herself to sport despite other activities. For example, a career in big tennis starts in early childhood when a young sportsman has to combine everyday training with school duties, so the child has to be highly motivated and focused on his/her progress in sports. It is a really hard-working life. Usually, their parents fully devote their own lives to their children’s sports careers, which is why the earnings of those who succeeded, must compensate for such great labor.
Secondly, great sportsmen are equal to other great celebrities, especially in the entertainment sphere, but the incomes of musicians or actresses do not look unfair to society. In other words, bright emotions, which the audience of sports events can feel in the stadium or during TV translation, are no worse than the joy from the concert of a favorite music band, so the famous sportsmen should earn more money than the ordinary people.
Currently, only one in a million individuals become sports stars. This is a long way to top, and the ones who managed to become the best in some sports and possess glory deserve large compensations.
