Fast fashion refers to easy style with budget-friendly attire but it has detrimental effects on the environment and serious ethical concerns.
First, the idea of fashion in a fast way persuades people to buy a huge amount of clothes beyond necessity. In this way, the process of decluttering old clothes along with recycling gets hampered. Thus, it projects a huge negative impact on the environment due to its production and proper garbage reduction systems.
Moreover, fast fashion helps consumers buy the items in a cheaper way which also assists the sellers in producing low quality products without following any proper guidelines of production and selling. In this way, the sellers get much profit, while the buyers becomes the prey of fraud sellers.
However, some people believe that buying affordable clothes help to minimize cost but indeed it creates significant problems in longer terms because fast fashion products are, in most cases, produced and sold without considering environmental and ethical concerns.
Therefore, despite its affordability, fast fashion should not be the choice. Government should regulate fast fashion products strictly and think about sustainable alternatives to these products.
