Nowadays, traditional handwriting has decreased significantly. The advancement of technology is the main reason for this trend. In my opinion, this tendency is completely positive.
Writing with a pen or pencil and using a brush is no longer popular. The progression of technology plays a remarkable role in this trend. People prefer to type instead of writing by hand since it is more convenient. They often use their smartphones, tablets, or computers to type, whether it is short or long text. Sometimes, they do not even need to type because of online applications that transcribe speech into text. As a result, individuals rarely write with a pen or pencil. Moreover, when a letter or message is being typed, it is very clear and readable, while some handwriting can cause a lot of problems due to the form of writing.
I personally believe that there are several benefits to this development. Many years ago, people needed paper to write something; as a result, a lot of trees were cut down. This action has caused significant ecosystem problems because of the reduction of jungles and forests. According to the NNB news journal, this problem has been significantly solved due to improvements in technology and increasing typing. Another example is my personal experience. I am currently preparing for my IELTS exam; as a result, I have to do a lot of writing and track my progress. Sometimes I make mistakes, and then I need to correct them. In this case, a computer helps me a lot instead of writing on paper, as it allows me to easily delete or rewrite. Finally it is saver to type than write on paper.
In conclusion, write by hand is not popular among people now. The convenience and readability of typing are the main reasons why fewer people write by hand. Another reason is saving the environment, which is a positive event. I personally recommend that everybody should learn to type with computer.
