These days, a decreasing number of individuals prefer to write using digital devices rather than by hand. This essay will examine the factors behind this phenomenon and explain why I believe this is a positive change.

There are two reasons why handwriting is unpopular. Firstly, typing on the computer’s keyboard is more convenient. Digital devices such as computers and smartphones have been integrated into people’s lives, making typing more practical for their daily activities such as note-taking, communication, and business. Secondly, digital ones provide an ideal platform for individuals to store their documents online. The advanced cloud service has a considerable memory-storage system, allowing people to save their digital stuff right away without concerns regarding security. For example, registered users can automatically upload their papers, photos, and videos to the Apple cloud service, with the highest protection system ensuring their information remains safe.

The increasing number of people who prefer writing on digital devices to handwriting, in my opinion, is a positive development. The most significant benefit is saving time and energy. Typing on computers and mobile devices is faster than writing on papers. Individuals can utilize some correction tools, such as Grammarly and QuillBot, which can automatically check spelling and grammar errors, helping individuals use precise vocabulary and expression. This approach helps people conserve significant time and vigor, thus improving their productivity. Additionally, reducing the consumption of papers and pencils is beneficial to our environment. The vast majority of office supplies are made of wood; if the demand for writing materials declines, fewer trees will be cut down for paper production, thereby promoting our environmental preservation.

In conclusion, the convenience of digital tools and the availability of cloud services are the primary factors driving the reduction of handwriting. I firmly believe that this is a positive trend, as it not only enhances productivity but also contributes to environmental protection.
