Since the down of civilization, the advancement of technology has transformed our life as well as food production has changed greatly. Farmers are using better fertilizers and advanced technologies which paves the way for better yields. Still, sceptics claim that these changes have negative influence on health and local communities. I fully agree however the changes have great importance globally, local communities are suffering from chemicals used to grow plants and local people have to use contaminated water for drinking and households.
To begin with, better and more fruits and vegetables require more fertilizers. But these chemicals degrade fruitfullness of the land and these may affect health of the native people. For example, in the last centuries, the cotton and rice fields needed much land to crop the yields which demanded large ammount of fertilizers. The helicopters were also used for spraying the chemicals and many local people suffered from lung illnesses. That is why better crops triggers to many health problems for local communities.
It is fact that water is vital for both humanity, flora and fauna. However, much ammount of fertilizers poison the water supposed for household use. The people have no other choices not using the polluted water. The contaminated water drinages negatively affect to inhabitants in the villages. For instance, statistics show that today the persantage of the pure water has lightly decreased and fresh water is becoming real problem for every countries. Thus, fertilizers usage should be regulated and strictly checked by governments.
In conclusion, the water and land are essential for humanity and it next generation have also right to have pure one. That is why it is important for all to keep them clean and pass to the next generation purely.
