It is true that many countries use fossil fuels as a main source of energy. However, many countries are transitioning to use alternative sources such as solar power and wind power when they pay attention to protect the environment. In my opinion,while there are some drawbacks to rapid intervention, the advantages of taking decisive action to use renewable energy far outweigh the disadvantages.
On the one hand, there are definite disadvantages when governments make a decision to use green energy. Firstly, to develop the infrastructure, the governments need to invest a lot of budget to buy the equipment which can produce renewable energy, such as turbin ,and solar cells. As a result, these nations need much time to refill this money so it is not suitable for nations which are developing. In addition, when the equipment is used for many years, it is hard to reuse and recycle , so these equipment may inflict an impact on the environment.
On the other hand, despite these advantages, the advantages of using green energy are considerable and outweigh drawbacks. Firstly, using coal, oil and natural gas are not protecting the environment because they release a lot of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere every day and it will occur in natural habitats. Secondly, with the cutting-edge of technology, the governments are easily to create new equipment and trade with countries on energy. In addition, in the future, fossil fuels will run out, so choosing green energy as a best alternative source should be encouraged in every nation.
In conclusion, while there are some disadvantages such as infrastructure and demolishment, the advantages of using renewable energy far outweigh these drawbacks.
