Financial provision of younger generation by their respondents is widespread all over the world. Although, there are some drawbacks in this trend, I would argue that its benefits, such as financial maturation, far outweigh its disadvantages.
To begin with the advantages of giving youngs pocket money, the best one of them is improvement of knowledge in spending money, which lead to financial maturation. This is because, by stably practicing dealing with money, children can learn how to spend financial funds in an effective way, as a result of enriching their money-based skills. For example, the more money youngs spend, the more conditions they have, such as faults, which urge them to learn from mistakes. In contrast, if younger generation would not be provided with a good amount of money, they would not be able to regulate the financial difficulties they may face after they take step into big life. Therefore, overall, this common trend is beneficial, resulting in significant impact on financial maturation.
Regarding with the disadvantages, youngsters’ money-based provision can lead to waste of finance. The reason why, the personality of children is vulnerable to be rebel against their temptation to achieve something desirable and they try to buy certain unnecessary things that interested them at first glance. Usually, such process causes to even worse conditions among adolescents, including immorality;consumption of drugs and the ones related to breaking laws. But if respondents, especially parents, pay attention for their children’s everyday life and control the procedures in dealing money, preventing children from such drawbacks is not difficult task. So that, even if parents can urge children to avoid detrimental side of the trend, the availability to prevent its disadvantages can be normal to find such public rich in benefits.
In conclusion, based on the above mentioned considerations, I can say that the commonly widespread trend has both the advantages impact on financial maturation and the disadvantages can be prevented. Thus, it is expedient that the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.
