In recent years, global warming has become a pressing issue that humans will likely deal with. While there are several reasons for the phenomenon, some solutions can be taken to improve this situation.
One cause of this problem is that the number of transport has increased dramatically. The widespread usage of vehicles for daily commuting significantly contributes to the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This can keep heat released from the sun from escaping, so the temperature increases each year. For example, in metropolitan areas like Hanoi, motorbikes and cars are the most popular vehicles. A large amount of greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide, are emitted into the atmosphere, forming a thick blanket that traps heat and leads to a steady rise in global temperatures. To mitigate this problem, citizens should replace private transport with public transport. When they commute by public transport, the number of vehicles may decrease, so the amount of CO2 emissions can be reduced.
Another reason is the deforestation of local citizens. In developing countries like Vietnam, where agriculture remains a cornerstone of the economy, forests are often cleared to make way for agricultural expansion and industrial development. When deforestation occurs, it not only loses its ability to store carbon but also releases stored carbon into the atmosphere, exacerbating the greenhouse effect. An effective method that should be implemented to tackle this issue is that the government should spend more funding to educate about the importance of forests. These programs can foster a sense of responsibility among local populations, leading to more sustainable practices.
In conclusion, using private transport and raising the awareness of citizens are two culprits behind the problem. I believe that if the solutions mentioned above were implemented effectively, the problem would be alleviated.
