The thought education not being a first priority is scary, and there are some people out there with the opinion that, the governments should invest more in healthcare than in education which I strongly oppose of.
To start with, healthcare is not less important than education, however, education should be put first in terms of investment by the governments. There are educational institutions like school, colleges, universities or even training institutes out there who needs the interventions of the governments. In addition, the educational sector needs the help of the government to improve some of the facilities they need for example well equipped laboratories for practical, libraries, good teachers and lecturers. For example, people in developing countries like Sierra Leone move to other countries for better education as a result of poor choices made by the governments for prioritizing healthcare over education.
Another good investment the governments should make on education is investing on the salaries of the teachers or lecturers because if they are unpaid, the students will not be taught well and as a result of that there would not be well trained personnel in healthcare, or even in other work forces.
In conclusion, the governments should take these points into consideration in order to get protect the system and to choose the things to invest in.
